Tekken X Street Fighter = Tekken Engine
Street Fighter X Tekken = SF Engine
thoughts?
i think it's a nice concept.. but tekken fighters don't have many projectiles which put them at a disadvantage. especially at 2.5d. that's my opinion.

I'm also concerned about the totally different gameplay styles...depending on fighting engine, one of the "sides" will require some pretty drastic changes to be compatible with the other in terms of gameplay style. That could be...weird...but we'll see how it turns out!
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? http://i51.photobuck...38643844558.jpg

o_O Ive been waiting an eternity for this... My favorite 2 fighting series out there... and looks to be in capcom style obviously... so yeah... its like SF4 with tekken chars? thats TAG?ish? omg... come on TUMS dont hate... Tekken is a very strong series... and has a huge fan base... its only fitting... makes much more sense then Tatsunoko vs. Capcom thats for damn sure... at least here in the states...
And I think the Tekken Chars will tranfer much better to Capcom style than Capcom to Tekken Style... thats my opinion...

I have to agree with BloodTide. SF vs Tekken sounds like a great idea to me and makes much more sense. For example, I could see people using Law and Fei as a Bruce Lee team. -B

I will agree with it making more sense than Tatsunoko here in the states, and Tekken does have a huge, albeit unfortunate, fanbase. The first part of that though, 100% disagree.

Well the Street Fighter game style is a much more accepted style of play... it was the base for all fighting games basically out there for the most part...
Where as Tekken gameplay is a bit more of an... "Acquired Taste"? Which would turn people like our TUMMY here off of it all together...
Its 2 different game styles all together... Street Fighter being more fast paced and even a bit more skill based to in a sense to execute some combos and such... but Tekken IMO is ALOT more strategic... yes there is a skill base there... but it tends to cap out... Tekken is a bit more of a mind game

To me, Tekken has about as much skill as using Strider with Doom assist in MvC2 and chipping someone to death. The entire series is built on button mashing IMO. >_>
Unfortunately alot of the 3d type fighters end up coming across that way... just a general design that cant be helped really, Virtua Fighter, DOA series, Soul Calibur, Tekken... BUT just like any of the 3d fighters out there Especially Tekken and Soul Calibur, There is a certain degree of skill that can be obtained that any GOOD player that knows what they are doing can destroy any button masher that may come along... Believe me... Ive been playing most of these games since day 1... and its easy to tell a skilled player compared to a button masher... and a skilled player will always come out on top... they just tend to be a bit more "noob friendly" Even Street Fighter style games have a button masher aspect to them... hell look at the Vs. series... they put a whole mode in to make it button masher friendly...
